Po

Mummy discovered that there is one toy that will get Jaden laughing out loud. It is none other than Po from Kung Fu Panda. Po, the panda, will draw nunchucks and show off his turn-around kick when one presses the button on his feet.

Two weeks ago, Mummy saw this toy at Kiddy Palace and when Mummy pressed its feet, Jaden laughed out loud when he saw Po doing his turn-around kick. At first Mummy thought that it was probably a coincidence, but even after numerous tries, Jaden continues to chuckle whenever he sees Po performs the kick.

Well, Mummy was a little surprised that Jaden likes the toy. The toy is actually meant for kids 4 years and up. The next day, Jaden and Mummy came across the same toy again. Jaden laughed again when he saw Po kicked. Last week, Daddy brought Jaden to see the toy and Jaden laughs again.

Now, Daddy and Mummy are pretty convinced that Jaden likes the toy. If you are wondering if Mummy and Daddy had bought the toy for Jaden, we did not, well, probably not yet. The kungfu kicking Po retails at $79.90 and Mummy felt that it isn't worthwhile to spend almost $80 on a toy that basically just kicks and does nothing else. But well who knows, Mummy may change her mind if a sale comes along :P

Jaden continues to flip over to his tummy every now and then. But that's not all, he knows how to flip back now! He will roll all over the bed now and now Mummy and Daddy have to keep a close watch on him.

Here is Jaden on his playmat.

He will try to reach out for whatever stuff that is in front of him. Toys, diapers, handkerchiefs, teethers etc and Jaden will put everything into his mouth.

Cereal

Jaden had his 2nd taste of rice cereal on Sunday. If you are wondering, why Mummy decided to blog about the 2nd try instead, it is because no photos were captured during the first cereal feeding session :(

Daddy, the 'official' photographer was not around to capture the moment. Well, there was one significant thing during the first feeding. Jaden was so excited or rather frustrated that he waved the spoon out of grandma's hand.

Mummy and Dadddy had a slightly better time. At least, there was no flying spoon this time. Jaden had this strange look when he tasted the cereal. Hee..hee. Well, Jaden had a few spoonfuls although Mummy found that most of the cereal ended up on the bib instead.

Nevertheless, it was a good 2nd time :)

Jaden still prefers his milk for now. And, oh, see how he tried to hold the bottle :)

1st Wedding Dinner

Jaden attended his first wedding dinner last Saturday. He was quite well-behaved before the dinner.

Hmm...Jaden likes the ice craving.

However, Daddy and mummy had to leave after the 3rd course cos' Jaden was crying for his bedtime. He started fussing and crying at around 8.30pm - his usual bedtime. Although Mummy tried to rock him to sleep, Jaden just wouldn't want it. He must be so tried as he fell asleep shortly in the car.

Btw, Mummy's friend said that Jaden doesn't look like a 4-mth old baby in the pictures above... more like a 6-mth old instead. Really?

Chicken

Last week, Mummy and her colleagues had a mini discussion on the different parts of chicken. It all started with the question why mummy fed Jaden a drumstick when she herself doesn't like it. Well, Mummy doesn't exactly know why. Her guess is that the drumstick is considered the best part of the chicken and hence, used for such occasions.

Mummy's colleague, a chicken breast fan, has kindly provide a link on chicken breast recipes. Mummy will definitely try it out when Jaden is older. Thanks Ju.
