Class

We went for the Gymboree trial class last Sunday. Well, the class was a little too small for the kids to have meaningful interaction. There was only three kids in the class. I think, all of them pretty much preferred to explore the place on their own rather than joining the class.

When the teacher brought out this whole box of maracas, the children just went towards her without hesitation. See Jaden was first at the box and had started taking his pick.

Jaden even offered one of the maracas to his classmate, although the picture seemed to suggest that Jaden was poking her :P It is just the angle of the shot. Rest assured, no one was hurt :)





Well, we have decided not to sign up for the regular classes at the moment. Since Jaden will be going to childcare in three months time, he would have lots of opportunities to play, learn and interact with other kids. We shall see later if he would need such extra classes.

Happy

Jaden was in a good mood last Saturday. Although he only napped for 30 minutes, he was pretty cheery while we tried to grab a late lunch.

A good workout

During the long weekend, we brought Jaden to Fidgets at Turf City and Gymboree at Harbourfront. Fidgets is an indoor children playground with the usual ball pool, slides and playmaze.

As Jaden is still quite a baby, we decided to 'confine' him to the baby play area at Fidgets. We have seen how rough some of the older toddlers are and it is definitely not a good idea for him to jostle with the older kids.

Gymboree is more of a play gym for kids. It is more physical and has different elements which is designed to develop a child's motor skills and coordination.

It was a good workout for Jaden and of course, for Mummy and Daddy too. I think such activities are more tiring for the parents. Oh well, I'm going to treat it as a regular exercise workout for now :)

By the way, we decided to sign up for a membership at Gymboree since we will get to enjoy cheaper play gym sessions ($12/hr instead of $20) and a free trial class.

We'll be going for the trial class on Sunday. Rest assured that Daddy will take lots of pictures :)

Somehow, Jaden was very amused with the clips while he was in the car. He just couldn't stop laughing whenever I offered him the clips.
