Bird Park on a hot day
We went to the Bird Park on Monday. We were contemplating between the Zoo and the Bird Park and decided to venture somewhere nearer to home first.
Jaden at the penguin exhibit. So happy :)
At Lory Loft. The lories are very colourful but noisy.
Jaden wants to touch the birds.
Jaden: Let's run!
Mummy: Huh?
Daddy: Let me take a picture first.
All smiles but tired.
We'll go to the Zoo next!!
Don't follow me?
Ok, we promised to take some pictures of Jaden walking. Here they are...

Jaden happily walking on his own, ignoring Mummy :(

Look at Jaden at IMM's water playground.

He loves playing with water and is not afraid of the older kids. I guess we are the ones who are worried that they will bump into my little one.

Balls and more balls
We went to Sakae Sushi at Tradehub 21. We went there for two reasons.First: we figured that it will not be crowded since it is quite out of the way; second, there is a children's play area at the restaurant.
Nothing fantastic about the place; food and play area were so-so.

Mummy: I like this picture. So cute!

Toys "r" Us and a New toy!
Nowadays, we spent a lot more time at Toys "r" Us. Well, we used to go there often too but Jaden has recently discovered the "beauty" of that place and will not leave without doing a bit of exploring.

Jaden didn't create this mess. The toys were already all over the floor before he 'played' with them.

Oops! Mummy is just trying to get a nicer toy :)

And, presenting the latest addition to Jaden's toy empire...the Just-like-home Kitchen Centre.

I felt that no toy is too girly for boys, perhaps with the exception of those infant dolls. I'm referring to those toys which you get to feed or dress a baby. I'll seriously be worried if Jaden asks for such a toy the next time. Coming back, a kitchen set is a pretty good toy since it allows them to do some role-playing and learning.
This morning, I was pretending to drink from his toy teacup and the next thing i know, Jaden passed me his teacup, wanting me to drink from his instead. Ha haa.. it was quite cute and amazing that they learn so fast. And of course, this continued for a while more until I was too 'full' from all the tea and directed Jaden to Daddy instead :P
Hmm...maybe I should buy another set and place it at my mum's place. Jaden would probably drive the the ah yi and the two 舅舅 crazy when he decided to give them his eighth cup of 'tea' :)

First Year
Mummy has a 12-month photo frame for Jaden. The frame allows us to insert monthly pictures of Jaden, from his birth to his 1st birthday. The frame was a gift from Auntie Winder to Mummy. Mummy has been updating the frame diligently. Ok, maybe not on a monthly basis but definitely on a quarterly basis :)
We felt that it would be a good idea to share with families and friends this wonderful montage.

Catch me if you can.
A walking toddler equates to tired parents.
Ever since Jaden can walk quite steadily without support, he has been making his rounds in the house. First to the kitchen, next to the bedroom, then to the living room, back to the kitchen, and to the dining area and it continues (though not necessary in the same order). You get the picture.
Although our place isn't that big, running after an active walking toddler for hours is no joke for someone who doesn't exercise often. Mummy and Daddy are so busy running after Jaden that we didn't even have time to take pictures of Jaden walking.
Hmm...doesn't seem like a very convincing excuse. Ok, we promise to take some pictures this weekend :P
For now, here's some pictures we took when we went to West Coast Park. At that time, Jaden still needed to hold on for support when he walked.
